We’ve written a ton of one-off navigations over the years. And making matters more complex, WordPress has recently migrated away from “Classic Menus” and instead now makes Navigations into a block.
We wanted to support both the old Classic Menus and also the new Gutenberg Navigations while also allowing the ability to have a vertical drop down layout and also a vertical accordion layout.
With this block, we have accomplished all these goals and then some. It’s built to integrate well into the new Color paradigm, and some additional colors can be set per menu. We’ve re-enabled the “Classic Menu” system that many people prefer. And we’ve made both menus output very similar code, allowing us to style either one with the same CSS!
Usage
- Create either a Classic Menu or Gutenberg Navigation
